This Fine-Line Tattoo Studio Doubles as a Creative Space

Low Rain owner Daniell Sobelman wants the chic studio to feel welcoming – and that involves throwing events with local vendors and artists.

Daniell Sobelman always considered herself an artist, but she didn’t find her calling until discovering the delicate art of fine-line tattoos. She opened her own studio called Low Rain in spring 2024. It’s billed as “an artist collective,” and that’s because Sobelman wants to spotlight all kinds of creativity.

It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!

Since opening, Low Rain has thrown events and gatherings with local vendors, art workshops and flash tattoos. Sobelman’s plans for the fall include a rotating art display and an “aura” photographer, but tattoos are still her priority. The studio’s chic interior is meant to be welcoming for anyone intimidated by traditional tattoo spaces. “I always just want them to feel comfortable,” she says. “I’m really here to just make you happy and give you a beautiful piece of work.”
