1. Ghost Lab
Built in 1884, the Catherine Foley/Miller Tavern in the Third Ward (266-272 E. Erie St.) will reveal its history through this project by Adam Thibodeaux, a UW-Milwaukee professor. Large stickers covering the windows will offer passersby a peek at the building’s past lives as an LGBTQ+ bar and MIAD’s student union.

Novelty tees, sports jackets, fun blouses and more fill the racks of this new vintage clothing store (2109 N. Prospect Ave.). Swing by on the weekend, and you’ll likely find a pop-up event serving drinks, snacks and crafts.

Folk singer R.J. Ziebarth pairs sometimes ambling, sometimes sprightly guitar with baritone vocals stretching from whispers to shouts. His latest LP, out Aug. 6, continues his streak of contemplative songs.
