Good City Brewing is expanding to Mequon.
The Milwaukee-based brewery announced Tuesday that it’s planning to open a new taproom at the Mequon Public Market – the space formerly occupied by Anodyne Coffee Roasting – in late spring.
It will be Good City’s fourth location, joining the original East Side brewery (2108 N. Farwell Ave.) opened in 2016 and taprooms in the Deer District near Fiserv Forum (333 W. Juneau Ave.) and the Mayfair Collection in Wauwatosa (11200 W. Burleigh St.).
“This came together rather quickly as we weren’t necessarily looking to expand at the time we were approached,” said Good City co-founder David Dupee, “But we are very excited about this specific opportunity coming out of, hopefully, the pandemic.”
The Mequon Public Market location will feature Good City’s lineup of beers – highlighted by its hoppy offerings and anchored by Motto pale ale – and a food menu distinct from the offerings at the East Side and Tosa locations.

“We couldn’t be more excited to add a brewery of Good City’s caliber to the Mequon Public Market,” says Cindy Shaffer, owner of Shaffer Development. “A local brewery taproom will only enhance the overall guest experience and further solidify the Mequon Public Market as a top destination.”
The brewery joins local vendors Aloha Poke, Pizza Man, Falafel Guys, Cafe Corazon, Happy Dough Lucky, La Terre, Purple Door Ice Cream, Santorini Grill and Screaming Tuna in the market space, 6300 W. Mequon Rd. Mequon’s only brewery is Foxtown Brewing, a brewpub in a historic brewing building a block away from the market.
