This October, the Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast will hit the road in its Girl Scout Mobile.
The Girl Scouts will visit seven locations this fall, each in the seven counties that the GSWISE serves. Families, whether they are Girl Scouts or not, can visit the van to enjoy sweet treats (but no Thin Mints, as it’s not cookie season), participate in activities such as scavenger hunts and crafts, receive a custom patch and learn about what the Girl Scouts have coming up for the next school year.

It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!
“You’ll see the Girl Scout Mobile present and supporting our troops and our volunteers and celebrating them and the community for numerous festivals throughout the year,” said GSWISE Chief Operating Officer Ashley Hatley-Caruso.
The green Girl Scout-themed van was created during the initial COVID lockdowns to bring the Girl Scouts to children and families at their homes. The van is covered with reflective panels in the shape of patches and badges meant to represent that there is a confident and courageous Girl Scout in everyone. “That I think is so special,” Hatley-Caruso said.
Girls in grades K-12 can join the Girl Scouts and learn about STEM, life skills and the outdoors, as well as entrepreneurship through its famous cookie sales. The youth organization provides enriching community experiences for girls to build “courage, confidence and character,” according to its website.
