Bring Bernie Sanders to Milwaukee With This Meme Site

Type in any address, and Bernie will be there.

If you have spent more than thirty seconds on the Internet in the last two days, you’ve undoubtedly seen this photo of Bernie Sanders sitting at the inauguration looking like the nation’s disgruntled great-uncle with his knee hiked up and a pair of mittens folded over his lap.

The photo has inspired roughly eighty-two million memes – Bernie on the bench with Forrest Gump, Bernie in the Millennium Falcon with Han Solo, Bernie as one of the old Muppet men who sit in the balcony and yell.

But for our purposes here at Milwaukee Magazine, we’re not interested in that. We’re in it for the MKE memes.

This website allows you to enter any address in the nation, and it’ll pull up the Google Maps photo of the place and drop Bernie right in the center of things. We’ve spent the past hour trying out random spots around the 414.

For example, here’s the Vermont Senator hanging around outside the Summerfest grounds off-season.

88Nine Radio Milwaukee already pulled together a pretty impressive collage of Bernie hanging out around town that you can check out.

And if you want to drop Mr. Sanders off in front of your any other landmark you can think of, just head over to the site and type that address in (although he might end up half on top of a car, because the site can be a little wonky.)
