An Ice Bar Has Come to Brookfield

The 20-foot bar is outside BelAir Cantina at The Corners of Brookfield.

You can now hang out at an ice bar outside Brookfield’s BelAir Cantina (at The Corners of Brookfield, 250 High St.). The bar debuts Jan. 22 and will stay intact, if it stays cold enough, for a few weeks.

The 20-foot-long ice bar is located in Market Square in front of BelAir Cantina. Art Below Zero used 10,000 pounds of ice to construct the bar, including ice sculpted photo frames. Market Square is also illuminated by a 6-by-7 foot acrylic etched wall with colored LED lights.

Specialty drinks include the Icicle, made with Ketel One vodka, triple sec, simple syrup, a sweet and sour splash, and the Iceberg, composed of Blue Curacao, Stoli Raspberry vodka, lemonade, Sprite and Swedish Fish. They’re also selling mystery liquors served in solid ice shot glasses. Pair up a drink with the gringo nachos or tortilla soup.

Hours: Fridays 4-8 p.m.; Saturdays noon-8 p.m.; Sundays noon-5 p.m.; Tuesdays 4-8 p.m.; and Thursdays 4-8 p.m.
