“Taste of Sunshine,” the name of this cocktail from Boone & Crockett, has a special barrel of Old Forester bourbon and a Grateful Dead song (“Sunshine Daydream”) to thank for its conception.
When the Harbor District bar gets a barrel like this (and it’s not often), they want to do something special with it, says co-owner, and Deadhead, Emily Dell Revord.
That bourbon – along with the limoncello, apricot jam, fresh sage and grapefruit hibiscus bitters in this drink – qualifies as special. The cocktail will last at least as long as the barrel bourbon, she says, expecting that to be well into fall. 818 S. Water St.
