Bingo Returns to Potawatomi! | Milwaukee Magazine

Bingo Is (Finally) Back at Potawatomi

This is a long-awaited announcement for local bingo enthusiasts.

After a nearly three-year hiatus, bingo is returning to the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino.

Potawatomi announced that it will celebrate the return of bingo with a New Year’s Eve “bingo bash.” Doors for the event will open at 10 a.m. on Dec. 31 with games beginning at noon at the casino’s Legacy Ballroom.

Pre-sale for the event begins Tuesday at noon. There’s a $275 buy-in, with payouts ranging from $500 to $10,000.

Tickets can be purchased in person only at the bingo reservation booth, located off the second-level skywalk. Space is limited, with only 600 seats on sale. The session is machine buy-in only. There will be no sales of paper bingo cards.

It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!

Regular bingo sessions will begin Jan. 4 and are slated to run Wednesday through Sunday.

The casino suspended all operations on its sprawling Menomonee Valley property, including bingo, in March 2020 as the coronavirus pandemic took hold.

The Nest of Life Bingo Hall, located on the third floor of the casino and seating more than 1,300 players, has remained closed ever since even as many of the casino’s other operations have gradually resumed since the three-month complete shutdown in 2020. The casino is also undergoing a $100 million renovation but bingo wasn’t included in the plan, further stoking fears that it wouldn’t return.

Despite those concerns, Potawatomi’s management told Milwaukee Magazine in June that it eventually planned to bring back bingo. Now, dauber-carrying patrons will be making their way back to the casino to partake in game on which the casino was founded more than 30 years ago.
