There’s no doubt about it. The most popular art show of the summer is going to be the “Beyond Van Gogh” exhibit that’s opening at the Wisconsin Center today.
The show isn’t like a traditional museum exhibit featuring original works of art by the late Post Impressionist. Instead, it’s being billed as an immersive, audiovisual experience featuring more than 300 projections of Vincent Van Gogh’s art works.
The show’s organizers say that over 65,000 tickets have already been sold, and they expect many of the days to sell out completely.

It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!
“Beyond Van Gogh” will remain on view through Sept. 19. Ticket prices are variable; general timed-entry admission for adults costs $37 on weekdays and $47 on weekends.
Looking for a little extra incentive to snap up some tickets before they’re gone? Here are some of our favorite shots from the show.
