It’s a great week if you’re a lager lover. Lager & Friends, an annual beer fest highlighting the style, is happening on Saturday.

Wednesday, June 19

The weekly release at 1840 Brewing Company is the fan-favorite, The Cashmere Sweater IPA. It’ll be on tap at both 1840 locations (342 E. Ward St. and 401 N. Main St., West Bend) on Wednesday and available to the public in four-packs of cans on Friday.

MobCraft Beer is brewing (Not So) Horrible City IPA, in response to a certain presidential candidate’s take on Milwaukee. Preorder has started and MobCraft expects to release the IPA in early July.

Goat Yoga is coming back to The Tap Yard – West Bend (4875 Hwy. Z) at 6:30 p.m.

Thursday, June 20

Lakefront Brewery is tapping a special firkin at Summerfest every day at 4 p.m. The first one is the Lakefront IPA with Idaho Gem hops.

Friday, June 21

Raised Grain Brewing’s pop-up beer garden comes to Naga-Waukee Park (651 Hwy. 83, Hartland). Hours are 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday and 3 to 9 p.m. on Saturday.

The Wauwatosa Historical Society is kicking off a limited beer garden run with Brews & Blooms at the Kneeland-Walker House (7406 Hillcrest Dr.). It’s happening in the Victorian Gardens and will include live music and food. Hours are 3 to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday this weekend. If you miss this installment, the beer garden returns on July 26.

Lakefront is tapping its Summerfest firking at 4 p.m. It’s a Raspberry New Grist Gose Rita aged on tequila-soaked oak.

Try samples from Young Blood Brewery at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 3 to 5 p.m.

Saturday, June 22

Lager & Friends beer fest returns to Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.). From noon to 4 p.m. you can sample a wide variety of lagers from several Wisconsin breweries. The $45 ticket gets you unlimited samples and even complimentary food.

Cheers Fest Pride is happening at Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) from 1 to 5 p.m. Drink You Be You Pale Ale while enjoying the food, music, art and a drag show.

The next Wisconsin Brewery Running Series event is happening at Explorium Brewpub (5300 S. 76th St.). The casual 5K run starts at 11 a.m. and includes a beer when you’re done.

Enlightened Brewing (2020 S. Allis St.) is hosting Beer Olympics at 1:30 p.m. Teams of two will compete in four different bar games in a bracket format to determine a winner. The entry fee is $25 per team. Proceeds benefit the Wauwatosa Curling Club’s renovation project.

Bootcamp and Brews comes to Ope! Brewing Co. (6749 W. National Ave.) at 10:30 a.m. Your $20 entry gets you an hour-long workout and a post-workout beer as a reward.

Lakefront is tapping a firkin of Hazy Rabbit IPA with blackberry at Summerfest at 4 p.m.

June 29: Enlightened Brewing Company (2020 S. Allis St.) is throwing a day-long summer block party.

July 13: The 6th Annual Food Truck Rally is happening at Gathering Place.

July 19: The Crops on Top Garden Party takes place at Amorphic Beer (3700 N. Fratney St.). Tickets are limited to just 50.
