22 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: Sept. 18-22

Oktoberfest events are in full swing this week, and there’s also a big anniversary for Raised Grain Brewing to keep an eye on.

Wednesday, Sept. 18

The Tap Yard – Menomonee Falls (W220 N7884 Town Line Rd.) is releasing Revolution Oktoberfest at 5 p.m. You get to keep the stein it’s served in.

Thursday, Sept. 19

Flight Night comes to the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center (1111 E. Brown Deer Rd.). Meet some really cool birds and sample some really good beers.

The first meeting of the Library Society is happening at Explorium Brewpub (143 W. St. Paul Ave.). Attendees get to sample a few cellared Explorium beers.

Friday, Sept. 20

Raised Grain Brewing (1725 Dolphin Dr., Waukesha) is throwing a 9th Anniversary Party over the weekend. On Friday, they’re releasing the 2024 Haze Against the Storm Triple IPA at 11:30 a.m., and on Saturday at 11 a.m. they’re releasing Nine Lives Anniversary Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout. There’s a full slate of rare beer tappings scattered throughout both days.

The five-week long Oktoberfest at Bavarian Bierhaus (700 W. Lexington Blvd.) continues over the weekend. The fun begins at 4 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

1840 Brewing and MobCraft are bringing their beer to Klode Park Oktoberfest. The event at, well, Klode Park (5900 Lake Shore Dr.) runs from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. There will be polka, food trucks and Bavarian pretzels.

Fall Fest comes to The Tap Yard – Brookfield (2925 N. Barker Rd.). They’ll be pouring a couple of barrel-aged beers from Three Floyds and rarities from Hoof Hearted Brewing and Revolution Brewing. Several Oktoberfest beers will also be on tap.

Perspective Brewing (7508 W. Greenfield Ave.) is releasing its Oktoberfest Marzen Lager to pair with live music and a food truck. The party starts at 5 p.m.

The eighth-annual Waukesha Oktoberfest takes place at Frame Park (1240 Frame Park Dr.) from 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday and noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday. It’s two days of German food, music, feats of strength and beer, of course.

The Elm Grove Oktoberfest starts at 5 p.m. in Elm Grove Village Park (13600 Juneau Blvd.) and runs through Saturday at 10 p.m. One of the highlights is a 0.5K fun run (yes 0.5K, and not 5K) at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday from O’Donoghue’s Irish Pub to the park.

Try samples from The Fermentorium at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 4 to 6 p.m.

Eagle Park Brewing is handing out samples at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 3 to 5 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 21

Mobtoberfest is going on at MobCraft Beer (505 S. 5th St.) starting at 11 a.m. They’re tapping their Mobtoberfest and hosting a few competitions, include one that involves sausage sculpting. That’s how MobCraft rolls.

There are separate fests happening at each Vennture Brew Co. location. OK toberfest East is at the original location (5519 W. North Ave.). The event runs from noon to 5 p.m. Be there for stein hoisting at 3 p.m.

New Barons Brewing Co-op is releasing its Oktoberfest at the Fox Point Beer Garden (7377 N Longacre Rd.) from 2 to 9 p.m.

Oktoberfest – Black Husky Style starts at 1 p.m. with a tapping of a free firkin at Black Husky Brewing (909 E. Locust St.). There’s a best pet costume contest, yodeling and stein holding.

Opetoberfest! happens at Ope! Brewing (6751 W. National Ave.) at noon. Drink at a discount when you purchase a cool one-liter Opetoberfest stein. The stein holding competition is at 4 p.m.

WagFest is takes place at The Tap Yard – West Bend (4875 County Hwy. Z) at noon. All sorts of dog-related activities are happening, and if you bring dog food or gently-used pet supplies you get $1 off of your first beer.

Discount Liquor Milwaukee offers samples from Revolution Brewing from noon to 2 p.m.

Try samples from Surly Brewing at Discount Liquor Waukesha from noon to 2 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 22

Fall Taco Fest comes to The Tap Yard – Waukesha (1927 E. Sunset Dr.) from noon to 6 p.m. Six food trucks will be there.


Coming Soon

Sept. 28: Third Space Brewing celebrates its eight year with an anniversary party. The daylong party is filled with music, food trucks and the release of Eight, an ale aged using the solera process.

Havenwoods Taproom and Beer Garden (5840 N. 60th St.) hosts the Beer Trail Invitational, which combines tasting beer from more than 30 breweries with hike through nature. Tickets are $75.

Oct. 6: The Fall Fest of Ale comes to Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It includes fall vendors, fall foods, and fall beers.

Oct. 12: Gathering Place Brewing celebrates its eighth annual Limb Shaker Day by releasing its standout Belgian tripel made with Door County cherries.
