The rare Central Waters beer tappings continue every day at 3 p.m. at the Wisconsin State Fair’s Badger Bites (run by The Tap Yard team). Cherry Kringle Stout is hitting the taps on Tuesday.
Wednesday, Aug. 7
The Sprecher Traveling Beer Garden makes a stop at Doctors Park (1870 E. Fox Lane, Fox Point) until Aug. 18. Hours are 5 to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.
MobCraft Beer is taking over a few of the taps at In Plane View (700 E. Layton Ave.) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. MobCraft pints are $1 off and they’ll be raffling off cool swag.
It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!
The weekly beer release at 1840 Brewing Company is Shuttered Saloons, a schwarzbier brewed in collaboration with Kegel’s Inn. It is available on draft only at both 1840 taprooms (342 E. Ward St. and 401 N. Main St., West Bend).
2023 Black Gold barrel-aged stout hits the taps at Badger Bites at 3 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 8
Torzala Brewing (2018 S. 1st St.) is releasing Grave Digga, a barrel-aged stout made with ghost pepper. Former Packer Gilbert Brown, “The Gravedigger”, will be there too from 6 to 8 p.m. The $50 ticket gets you a bottle of the stout and a photo op with Gilbert.
Supermoon Beer Company (3145 S. Howell Ave.) and Door County’s Sway Brewing & Blending used the same wort to brew two versions of More Than You’ll Know, a Midwest pub ale. Sway’s version spent time in an oak foeder, and this week you can see how it stands up against Supermoon’s version. Preorder is available all week and pick up begins at 4 p.m. on Thursday.
Central Waters 25th Anniversary Stout, aged in Elijah Craig barrels, is being tapped at Badgers Bites at 3 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 9
There’s a cocktail inspired beer release happening at Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.). They’re pouring a Gin Barrel-Aged Cranberry Gose and a Tequila Barrel-Aged Paloma Sour.
Try samples from Central Waters Brewing, Hacker Pschorr and Paulaner at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 3 to 5 p.m.
Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) offers samples from Duvel from 3 to 5 p.m.
Badger Bites is tapping a Central Waters Rodger, Rodger Pale Ale at 3 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 10
Mental Projection, a dry-hopped American IPA, is the daily Central Waters tap at Badger Bites.
Try samples from Paulaner at Discount Liquor Waukesha from noon to 2 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 11
Badger Bites wraps up its impressive run of Central Waters beer tappings at the Wisconsin State Fair by pouring Topwise, a hazy IPA.

Aug. 17: Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.) is releasing three limited Belgian beers during its 7th anniversary party. Station No. 06 (6800 W. Becher St.) marks five years of business with a party that will include several rare beer taps.
Aug. 18: The Great Milwaukee Brewery Bike Race is happening between Gathering Place Brewing and Enlightened Brewing Company.
Sept. 7: Pilot Project (1128 N. 9th St.) is bringing its Pilot Project Fest to Milwaukee. Roughly 20 breweries will be there. The annual ERV-toberfest is also scheduled at Erv’s Mug (130 W. Ryan Rd.).
