Steny’s Tavern (800 S. 2nd St.) will host a release party for Good City Brewing’s Spare Time Hazy Pale Ale at 5 p.m.
Drekker Brewing has been making the rounds lately, and that’s a good thing. Several of Fargo’s finest brews will be available at The Brass Tap (7808 W. Layton Ave.) starting at 5 p.m.
Wednesday, June 26
Enlightened Brewing heads to Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.) for the weekly tap takeover at 5 p.m.
The Milwaukee Beer Society samples new beers (recent releases, new to market brews, etc.) from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Best Place (901 W. Juneau Ave.).
Thursday, June 27
Milwaukee historian John Gurda comes to Good City’s Century City warehouse (3945 N. 31st St.) for a presentation about the evolution of Milwaukee’s economy. Check out Good City’s digs and learn a thing or two for just $5.
The Beer Garden 5K comes to Grant Park (100 Hawthorne Ave., South Milwaukee). The run costs $35. The race kicks off at 6:30 p.m. and packet pick up begins at 5:30 p.m.
The Brass Tap is having a release party for Great Lakes Buckin’ Mule Moscow Mule Ale. They’re also tapping a few Great Lakes brews including Barrel-Aged Blackout Stout. That’s all great, but they’re also setting up a mechanical bull in the parking lot from 5 to 7 p.m. You can try a Buckin’ Mule and ride the bull for $8.
Friday, June 28
Short Fuse is bringing samples from Chicago to Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 4 to 6 p.m.
Try beers from Untitled Art (4 to 6 p.m.) and City Lights (5 to 7 p.m.) at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.).
Saturday, June 29
Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) is releasing a barrel-aged beer that is perfect for summer. Alegria Brandy Barrel-Aged Kettle Sour is brewed with Zinfandel grape juice and inspired by the flavor or sangria. A variant is aged with blackberries. Bottle sales begin at 11 a.m. and each costs $20.
Get a history lesson about beer flavor at Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.) from 3 to 6 p.m. when they pour a Cervoise Gallo-Roman Saison. The beer, made by Jeff Enders, was the winner of the Iron Beer Challenge, put on by the Anthropology Department at UW-Milwaukee. The challenge featured unhopped brews and decidedly old school recipes.
Burnhearts (2599 S. Logan Ave.) is hosting its 12th annual Pabst Street Party from noon to 8 p.m. Expect live music, food, PBR, brandy slushes, art and a good time. Burnhearts has this whole street party thing down.
Sunday, June 30
Brew City Distribution heads to Sugar Maple (441 E. Lincoln Ave.) from 4 to 6 p.m. They’re bringing a pair of beers each from FiftyFifty Brewing, M.I.A. Beer Company and Monkless Belgian Ales.
