The daily limited beer tapping at the Goose Island Ale House at the Wisconsin State Fair has a full slate this week. Get to the Ale House (adjacent the Budweiser Pavilion) at 3 p.m. or 7 p.m. On Monday, the highlighted beer is Central Waters Rye Whiskey Stout.
Tuesday, Aug. 6
The delicious Third Space Mystic Knot Barrel-Aged Irish-Style Coffee Stout is the special beer at the Goose Island Ale House at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 7
The Milwaukee Beer Society takes a departure this week and examines ciders and meads. The tasting runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Best Place (901 W. Juneau Ave.) and costs $17 for guests ($12 for members).
Indeed Brewing takes over the taps at Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.) at 5 p.m.
Odd Side Ales takes over a few of the taps at Draft & Vessel (4417 N. Oakland Ave.) from 6 to 9 p.m.
Goose Island Bourbon County Stout will be poured at the Goose Island Ale House at 3 and 7 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 8
See how a few Wisconsin and Minnesota breweries stack up against each other at Sugar Maple (441 E. Lincoln Ave.) at 6 p.m. Great Tasting Friends includes beer from a pair of locals, 1840 Brewing and Eagle Park, and two breweries from Minneapolis, Indeed and Dangerous Man.
Try Milwaukee Brewing Louie’s Cherry Bounce at the Goose Island Ale House at 3 and 7 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 9
Get to the Goose Island Ale House at 3 and 7 p.m. to try the delicious Goose Island Bourbon County Vanilla Stout.
Try beers from City Lights Brewing at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 4 to 6 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 10
The Brewery Running Series comes to Westallion Brewing (1825 S. 72th St.) at noon. The casual 5K run costs $30.
Taste 3 Sheeps Brewing The Wolf, a barrel-aged stout, at the Goose Island Ale House from 3 to 7 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 11
Milwaukee Brewing (1128 N. 9th St.) hosts yoga with a view on its roof from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Registration costs just $12 and includes a free beer when you’re done. Just be sure to bring your own mat.
