Beer samples at Explorium Brewpub

Beer Events Brewing This Week: Aug. 28-Sept. 1

Save some time on Saturday beer fans, and head to Explorium Brewpub to sample one of their five new releases. It’s one of this week’s highlights.

Wednesday, Aug. 28

Fans of wild ales need to get to Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.). Upland Brewing is taking over the taps and is bringing a few of their best sours.

Deschutes comes to Draft & Vessel (4417 N. Oakland Ave.) for a tap takeover from 6 to 9 p.m.

Friday, Aug. 30

This is a cool collaboration. The Riverwest Brewery Syndicate—which consists of Black Husky Brewing, Gathering Place Brewing, Lakefront Brewery and Company Brewing—is teaming up to brew Sticke Alt, a Dusseldorf altbier. The beer makes its debut at Black Husky (909 E. Locust St.) at 11 a.m. Look for it around Riverwest in the upcoming weeks. A portion of the proceeds benefit a local charity.

Try samples from New Belgium at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 3 to 6 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 31

Good City Brewing (2108 N. Farwell Ave.) hosts a limited bottle release for Audacity Belgian Quad aged in rum and port wine barrels. Show up at 11 a.m. to get one.

Explorium Brewpub (5300 S. 76th St.) is releasing five new beers at 3 p.m. including collaborations with Mikerphone and Hidden Springs Ale Works. Check out the beer menu on the event page.

Sunday, Sept. 1

The Brass Tap (7808 W. Layton Ave.) hosts a Three Floyds beer school. Hear about the brewery and sample a few Three Floyds brews for $10.
