The latest Bar Bites Beer Dinner at Story Hill BKC (5100 W. Bluemound Rd.) features five courses paired with five barrel-aged beers from Founders. The menu includes Frootwood, Doom, Lizard of Koz, Backwoods Bastard and, of course, KBS. Tickets are $82 (gratuity included) and the fun starts at 6 p.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 14
Erv’s Mug (130 W. Ryan Rd.) hosts a beer dinner with The Fermentorium with open seating from 5 to 8 p.m.. The four-course dinner costs $40.
Wednesday, Nov. 15
The third class of Barley to Barrel, the brewery incubator program of The Crafter Space, releases its brews at Company Brewing (735 E. Center St.) starting at 6 p.m. Pick your favorite between Snowy Kromer Spiced Winter Cream Ale, Hideout Old Fashioned Ale and Bay View Brunch Brown Ale. It’s a great event and a great way to hear the stories of Milwaukee’s up-and-coming brewers.
Stone Brewing takes over the taps at Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.). They’re bringing some rarities, so get there at 5 p.m. to see what’s on the menu.
Milwaukee Beer Society focuses on beers from Gathering Place Brewing, a relative newcomer to the local brewing scene, at its weekly meeting at Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.). Tasting starts at 6 p.m. and the event costs just $10.
Thursday, Nov. 16
Local breweries get to show their stuff at the Sours & Stouts Tap Takeover at Company Brewing (735 E. Center St.). Twelve Milwaukee breweries are bringing their best sours and stouts and the sipping starts at 6 p.m. It’s another great event put on by the Milwaukee Craft Brewery League.
Check out the fall foliage at Boerner Botanical Gardens (9400 Boerner Dr.) and sip a MobCraft beer while you’re doing it. MobCraft is the guest of honor for this month’s Boerner Brewtanical Series. Cost is $15 and the event starts at 6:30 p.m.
Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) hands out samples from Capital Brewery from 4 to 7 p.m. and Tsingtao from 5 to 7 p.m. You don’t see that pairing every day.
Kathy Flanigan is the speaker at the first Books & Brews event at Brew City MKE (275 W. Wisconsin Ave.). The Journal Sentinel scribe talks about her new book, Beer Lover’s Wisconsin at 6 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 18
The good guys at Good City Brewing are once again doing their altruism thing with another volunteer event. Join the United Way, Chef Guy Davies and others in preparing frozen meals for those in need. It all takes place at MATC (700 W. State St.) from 9 a.m. to noon. Space is limited, so a reserve a spot if you’d like to volunteer.
Get yourself centered with morning yoga at The Fermentorium (7481 Hwy 60, Cedarburg). Downdogs & Drafts starts at 11 a.m. and includes an hour of yoga and beer tokens. The cost is $15. Bring your own yoga mat.
City Lights Brewing brings samples to Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from noon to 3 p.m.
Madison standout Karben4 Brewing provides samples to shoppers at Discount Liquor Waukesha from noon to 3 p.m.
Winter beers are the subjects of the weekly free tasting at both Three Cellars locations (7228 S. 27th St. and N72 W13400 Lund Lane, Menomonee Falls) from 1 to 4 p.m.
