Tuesday, March 12

Downdogs & Drafts comes to The Fermentorium (7481 State Rd. 60, Cedarburg) at 6:30 p.m. The one-hour yoga session is followed by a beer or two. Cost is $15.


Wednesday, March 13

O’so Brewing takes over the taps at Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.) starting at 5 p.m.

The Brass Tap (7808 W. Layton Ave.) is putting five beers from 1840 Brewing Company on tap at 6 p.m. Brews from this Bay View standout aren’t always easy to come by, and they’re definitely worth trying.

The Milwaukee Beer Society heads to The Crafty Cow (2671 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.) at 6 p.m. It’s part of the group’s “craft spotlight” series, that includes trips to local beer-focused bars and restaurants.


Thursday, March 14

Bierklasse at Cafe Hollander (2608 N. Downer Ave.) focuses on local flavor. Meet the people behind some of the newer local breweries and sample a few beers. The cost is just $35.

Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.) honors Pi Day with, well a pie contest. The chefs at Lakefront will bake their best pies. You decide which one is the best. The tasting starts at 11 a.m.

This week’s $1 for Milwaukee event at Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.) benefits Fight Asthma Milwaukee (FAM) Allies. The brewery will donate $1 for every pint sold to the non-profit.

In related charitable beer news, Good City Brewing (2108 N. Farwell Ave.) hosts Drink the Good on Thursdays. This means that $1 from Good City beers will be donated to a non-profit. This month’s beneficiary is Milwaukee Riverkeeper.

Mistral (2473 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.) hosts a beer dinner with Lakefront at 6:30 p.m. The four-course dinner includes five beer pours. Cost is $55 and reservations must be made by calling 414-539-6469 between 5 and 9 p.m.

The Gig (1132 E. Wright St.) hosts the release of Lakefront’s Clean Machine Brut IPA at 7 p.m.


Sunday, March 17

Start St. Patrick’s Day early at The Brass Tap, which opens at 6 a.m. They’ll have Irish and Irish-inspired beers on tap, including Third Space Mystic Knot Irish-Style Coffee Stout.

Fyxation Bike Company leads a bike ride that starts and finishes at Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.). Get there at 12:30 p.m. for the 1 p.m. start. The ride stops at Bavarian Bierhaus and there’s an optional stop at Gathering Place Brewing before getting back to Lakefront at 4 p.m.
