Beer Events Brewing This Week in Milwaukee: April 14-18

Beer events are looking different these days, but they’re still happening.

Tuesday, April 14

Cheers to Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.) for offering free six-packs of Riverwest Stein to healthcare workers. Just bring your healthcare ID to Lakefront between noon and 8 p.m.

Lakefront founders Russ and Jim Klisch are also hosting a virtual toast for 414 Day at, well, 4:14 p.m.

Raised Grain Brewing (1725 Dolphin Dr., Waukesha) is releasing cans of Double Dry Hopped Naked Threesome. The hazy brew is made with Citra, Crystal and Mosaic hops.

The Fementorium hosts a Hoppy Hour from 6 to 8 p.m. on Zoom. Enjoy small talk and libations, all from the comfort of home.

Wednesday, April 15

Join Nick Cusatis and Cary Jaworski of Third Space Brewing during their weekly Sippin’ with Sales on Instagram live. The duo discusses plenty of topics related to beer and a few that aren’t.

Friday, April 17

In the need for some virtual camaraderie? Third Space hosts its weekly Brewmaster’s Toast at 5:45 p.m. on Facebook Live.

Saturday, April 18

Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.) is releasing five newly canned beers for pick up between 2 and 6 p.m. Make your purchase online on Friday prior to pick up. There are plenty of styles to choose from.

MobCraft hosts The After Party at 8 p.m. on Zoom. The event includes a virtual Flip Cup Tournament. Register for the tourney for $15, which includes a six-pack of Gier Bier, entry into the tourney and a red Solo cup, of course.

Dan Murphy has been reviewing bars for Milwaukee Magazine for roughly 20 years. He’s been doing his own independent research in them for a few years more.
