The week after Christmas isn't a big one for beer events. But there are certainly options out there. Celebrate the end of 2017 with a few of your favorite beers.
Wednesday, Dec. 27
Try a few tasty varieties of Ballast Point Victory At Sea Imperial Porter at Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.) at 5 p.m. The big tasty beer varieties include coconut and peanut butter.
Coffee beers are the theme at the weekly meeting of the Milwaukee Beer Society at Best Place (901 W. Juneau Ave.) from 6 to 9 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 28
Sugar Maple (441 E. Lincoln Ave.) gets a visit from Gathering Place Brewing founder Joe Yeado and brewer Corey Blodgett at 5 p.m. Try a few of their brews including the delicious Porte des Morte Tripel with Door County Cherries.
Saturday, Dec. 30
Gathering Place (811 E. Vienna Ave.) delayed its release of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker Biere de Garde a few weeks to make sure that it’s just right. It’ll be available at noon and limited bottles cost $12 each.
Stouts are the subjects of the weekly free tasting at both Three Cellars locations (7228 S. 27th St. and N72 W13400 Lund Lane, Menomonee Falls) from 1 to 4 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 31
Good City Brewing (2108 N. Farwell Ave.) ushers in the new year by releasing three new beers. They’ll have taps of BFG Barleywine, Nitro Milk Stout and Varietal #8: Centennial Triple IPA flowing when they open. Stick around for a dance party that starts at 9:30 p.m.
Spend New Year’s Eve at Millioke (323 E. Wisconsin Ave.) with six of your favorite local breweries. The Beer Barons are hosting a beer dinner that includes six courses paired with beers from Black Husky, Westallion, Explorium Third Space, Like Minds and Sprecher. Cost is $79 and reservations can be made by calling 414-847-3162.
