Beer Events Brewing This Week: Dec. 17-22

There’s plenty of holiday cheer happening in the week before Christmas.

Monday, Dec. 17

The Rustic Pint comes to Sprecher Brewing (701 W. Glendale Ave.) from 6 to 7:30 p.m. For $39 you get to show your artistic side and paint on reclaimed wood. You can also have a beer.

Tuesday, Dec. 18

Third Space Brewing takes over the taps at Moran’s Pub (912 Milwaukee Ave., South Milwaukee) at 7 p.m. For just $8 you can sample a few beers and talk with Third Space’s Nick Cusatis.

The Brass Tap (7808 W. Layton Ave.) hosts IPAs for the Holidays with Dogfish Head starting at 5 p.m. That means a tap takeover with a few Dogfish Head brews, including a two-year vertical of the legendary 120 Minute IPA.

Try a few Delirium varieties from Brouwerij Huyghe at Draft & Vessel (4417 N. Oakland Ave.) during its holiday party. Get there at 6 p.m. to start drinking Belgian strong ales and eating free cupcakes.

Wednesday, Dec. 19

The Milwaukee Beer Society takes a trip to MobCraft Beer (505 S. 5th St.) at 6 p.m. to see what’s going on over there. For $15 ($10 for members) you can join them.

The Holiday Rarities Bierklasse comes to Café Hollander (2608 N. Downer Ave.). Try rare winter brews from 7 to 10 p.m. for just $45.

Thursday, Dec. 20

Water Street Brewery is the host of this installment of the Brewtanical Series at Boerner Botanical Gardens (9400 Boerner Dr., Hales Corners). From 6:30 to 8 p.m. you can sample a few beers and learn about the process required to make them. Cost is $15 for the general public ($10 for members).

Burnhearts (2599 S. Logan Ave.) is having its annual holiday party. From 5 to 10 p.m. all of the money from all of the great beer you buy will be donated to Voces de la Frontera. Oh, and a creepy Santa Claus will be there.

Sugar Maple (441 E. Lincoln Ave.) hosts a pajama party with Dogfish Head as the guest of honor. They’ll have some great beer on tap, including 120 Minute IPA and a 2016 World Wide Stout.

Lakefront co-founder Jim Klisch is at Total Wine (8700 W. Sura Ln.) from 4 to 7 p.m. He’s bringing samples of gems like Lakefront’s 30 Anniversary Barrel-Aged Eisbock and a 2016 Brady Barrel-Aged Spiced Winter Lager.

Try samples from the Fermentorium at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 3 to 6 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 21

Cheers to Eagle Park Brewing (823 E. Hamilton St.) for taking donations for OneHope27 all week long. The charity helps those involved in the Milwaukee County foster care system and can use items like toothpaste, kids pajamas and cash donations. Drop items off all week or wait until Friday at 3 p.m. when Eagle Park hosts a pajama party and the release of Lights Out Chocolate and Tangerine Imperial Milk Stout.

Like barrel-aged beers? Head to ABV Social (11200 W. Burleigh St.) from 6 to 10 p.m. to try some. The Longest Night party celebrates the winter solstice with some big barrel-aged brews.

Saturday, Dec. 22

Lakefront Brewery comes to Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from noon to 3 p.m.

Try beers from Dogfish Head and WarPigs at Discount Liquor Waukesha from noon to 3 p.m.
