This week kicks off in style on Monday with a big event at Story Hill BKC. Cap it off with a Labor Day trip to Burnhearts.

Monday, Aug. 28

Bar Bites Beer Bash at Story Hill BKC (5100 W. Bluemound Rd.) is finally here. For $60 you can pair great food with outstanding beers from breweries like New Glarus, Central Waters, Bell’s, Door County, Surly, O’so, Lakefront, Deschutes and Uinta.


Tuesday, Aug. 29

ABV Social (11200 W. Burleigh St.) hosts beer school with Goose Island starting at 6 p.m. The sour sisters—Lolita, Halia, Madame Rose, Gillian and Juliet—are the focus. The cost to taste these standouts is just $25. Reserve a spot by calling 414-837-6290 or emailing info@abvsocial.com.


Wednesday, Aug. 30

The Milwaukee Beer Society highlights the Explorium Brewpub at Best Place (901 W. Juneau Ave.) starting at 6 p.m. Owner Mike Doble makes some amazing beers and this is your chance to try them.

Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.) never disappoints when it comes to tap takeovers. This week, Bell’s Brewery is bringing some top-notch beers in, including Traverse City Barrel-Aged Neptune Imperial Stout.

The Wild Wednesday Craft Beer Cruise hosts Dogfish Head Brewery. Choose between 5:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Tickets are just $29.


Friday, Sept. 1

Leatherhead Brewing and Titletown Brewing make the trip from Green Bay to take over the taps at Milwaukee’s Craft Beer Garden at Humboldt Park (3000 S. Howell Ave.).

Next Door hands out samples at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 4 to 7 p.m.

Tighthead Brewery comes to Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 4 to 7 p.m.


Saturday, Sept. 2

Flagship beers are the subjects of the weekly free tasting at both Three Cellars locations (7228 S. 27th St. and N72 W13400 Lund Lane, Menomonee Falls) from 1 to 4 p.m.
