10 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: Nov. 6-10

It’s a big week for new beer releases, which certainly isn’t a bad thing. The biggest of all beer release days, Black Friday, will be here soon enough.

Wednesday, Nov. 6

The Cashmere Sweater Double IPA is one of the releases this week at 1840 Brewing Company. The other is Rudolph the Red-Nosed Rotbier, a red lager.

Friday, Nov. 8

Third Space Brewing is releasing Charlie Mike American Pilsner. A portion of the proceeds benefit Wisconsin’s Center for Veterans Issues.

New Barons Brewing Co-op (2018 S. 1st St.) is releasing Dan’s Trash Amber Lager at 5 p.m. They’re also making poutine. 

Try samples from Sierra Nevada at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 4 to 6 p.m.

Sierra Nevada offers samples at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 3 to 5 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 9

The Milwaukee Press Club teamed up with Black Husky Brewing to create Off the Record Amber IPA and a portion of the proceeds from sales of the beer will support journalism scholarships. The release party is from 2 to 6 p.m. at Black Husky.

Component Brewing hands out samples at Discount Liquor Milwaukee from noon to 3 p.m.

Discount Liquor Waukesha has samples from Raised Grain Brewing from noon to 2 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 10

You have the chance to make your own flight board at Ope! Brewing (6751 W. National Ave.) from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Two Mikes Art Factory will guide you through the process and provide everything you need (including four tasting glasses). The $65 ticket includes the workshop and a complimentary beverage.

Raised Grain Brewing (1725 Dolphin Dr.) hosts Stretch & Sip Yoga from 11 a.m. to noon. The cost is $20 and includes a beer when you’re done.


Coming Soon

Sunday, Nov. 17: The next Beer School at Third Space Brewing is Beans and Brews. It will explore coffee, beer and how the two can gloriously interact. Tickets are $30 and the event will likely sell out soon.

Saturday, Nov. 23: MobCraft Beer (505 S. 5th St.) may be closing, but they’re going out with a bang. Stout Fest is happening at the taproom from noon to 9 p.m. and includes the release of Padishah, a barrel-aged imperial stout.

Dec. 7: Kegel’s Inn (5901 W. National Ave.) celebrates its 100 years with a Centennial Birthday Bash. The party includes the release of Barrel Breaker Doppelbock, a beer brewed in collaboration with MobCraft that has been aged in Central Standard whiskey barrels with Wisconsin maple syrup.
