Build a cool succulent garden at Houseplant Happy Hour, taking place at The Tap Yard – Waukesha (1927 E. Sunset Dr.) at 6 p.m. The $60 ticket gets you all the tools you’ll need and a beverage.

Battle of the Breweries at Draft & Vessel (4417 N. Oakland Ave.) pits lagers from Dovetail Brewing, Amorphic Beer and Working Draft Beer Company against each other in a blind tasting contest. Vote on your favorites between 3 and 8 p.m.

Friday, May 30
Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) is releasing You Be You for Pride Month. A portion of the sales of the hazy IPA benefit Diverse & Resilient.
Faklandia Brewing (3807 S. Packard Ave.) marks its fifth anniversary with The Feast of the Realm, a weekend filled with limited pours, drink specials, new food options and lots of other fantasy-releated fun. The festivities take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
It’s Bay View Gallery Night, and 1840 Brewing (342 E. Ward St.) is throwing a street party from 5 to 10 p.m. There will be live jazz, food and beer.

Lager & Friends comes to Gathering Place (811 E. Vienna Ave.) for its seventh year. The list of nearly 30 breweries who will be at the beer fest is impressive. Tickets start at $40.
3 Sheeps Brewing (1837 North Ave., Sheboygan) is throwing a party to celebrate a whopping 13 years in business. From 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. they’ll be pouring limited release beers that pair nicely with live music and food.
Indeed Brewing (530 S. 2nd St.) is throwing a block party and hosting a makers market to mark the release of Sailor’s Delight, a lager made with blood orange and sea salt. The festivities happen from noon to 5 p.m.
The Third Space Innovation Brewhouse (N71 W13040 W. Appleton Ave., Menomonee Falls) celebrates one year in business with a day filled with festivities, food and music.
Ray’s Bar (8930 W. North Ave.) hosts the last cribbage tournament of the season from 2 to 5 p.m. Half Acre Brewing is taking over some of the taps, which is nice.
Sample beers (both with alcohol and without) from Untitled Art at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from noon to 3 p.m.
Sunday, June 1
The Locust Street Festival of Music and Art is one of Milwaukee’s best and longest-running festivals. It kicks off with another great tradition, the Locust Street Beer Run. The 1.6-mile run through Riverwest starts at 11:30 a.m. and includes four stops for beer. It costs just $25 to participate.
Create a cool mosaic piece for your garden or home at Lion’s Tail Brewing (8520 W. North Ave.) from 1 to 4:30. The Mosaic Workshop is hosted by Two Mikes Art Factory. For $79 you get all the materials you need and a beverage to get you started.
Raised Grain Brewing (1725 Dolphin Dr., Waukesha) is throwing a Tie-Dye Tee Party from 1 to 5 p.m. The $25 price gets you a white branded Raised Grain t-shirt that you can dye and a beverage.
Taco Fest is happening at The Tap Yard – Waukesha. There will be several food trucks offering tasty tacos to pair with your beer.

Saturday, June 7: The Wisconsin & Beer Lovers Festival moves from Bayshore to the Bavarian Bierhaus (700 W. Lexington Blvd.) this year. It features libations from more than 30 Wisconsin breweries, cideries and wineries. Also, Component Brewing and Perspective Brewing are both hosting anniversary parties on June 7.
Thursday, June 19: The New Glarus beer dinner at Tess is already taking reservations. Call 414-964-8377 to make one, because it’s sure to sell out.
