16 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: June 18-22

Summer is a great time to be a beer drinker. Myriad activities related to suds are happening this week.

Wednesday, June 18

Drink beer while creating a cocktail herb garden at The Tap Yard – West Bend (4875 County Hwy. Z) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The Cocktail Herb Garden Workshop costs $60 and includes a drink ticket.

Ope! Brewing Company is taking over the taps at Ray’s Bar (8930 W. North Ave.) from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Thursday, June 19

The New Glarus beer dinner at Tess (2499 N. Bartlett Ave.) is taking reservations. Call 414-964-8377 to make one.

Learn caligraphy at Supermoon Beer Company (3145 S. Howell Ave.). Letters & Lagers starts at 5:30 p.m. and costs $15.

The Triple Taproom (2018 E. North Ave.) offers a chance to learn how to block print. The Block Print & Sip workshop happens from 6 to 8 p.m. and costs $30.

Friday, June 20

The latest Amorphic Beer beer dinner at Crops on Top (3522 N. Fratney St.) happens from 7 to 11 p.m. Tickets for the multi-course dinner are $150.

Rooftop yoga is taking place at Pilot Project (1128 N. 9th St.) from 6 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $36.

Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) is pouring samples from 3 Sheeps Brewing and Revolution Brewing from 3 to 5 p.m.

Saturday, June 21

The Wisconsin Brewery Running Series makes a stop at North Pillar Brewing (212 E. North St., Waukesha). The casual 5K run starts at 11 a.m. Tickets start at $44.

Sour Beer Day is taking place at three Tap Yard locations. They’ll be pouring sours from the likes of 3 Sheeps Brewing, Young Blood Beer Co., Toppling Goliath, and more at The Tap Yard – Waukesha (1927 E. Sunset Dr.), The Tap Yard – Milwaukee (1555 N. RiverCenter Dr.) and The Tap Yard – West Bend.

Component Brewing (2018 S. 1st St.) hosts the MADACC Meet and Greet from 1 to 4 p.m. Several adoptable dogs will be there looking for a good home. Have a beer or two and help them out.

The Menomonee Falls Public Library hosts a discussion about the history of brewing in what was once known as Fussville. They’ll also examine how beer bottles have evolved and show off a few. The learning runs from 2 to 3:15 p.m.

Try samples from Founder’s Brewing and Great Lakes Brewing from noon to 2 p.m. at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.).

Third Space Brewing is offering samples at Discount Liquor Waukesha from noon to 2 p.m.

Sunday, June 22

The Pride Makers Market comes to Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event includes a more than two dozen vendors, a DJ, glitter rainbow cheese curds, and more.

Flashback to Boy Scouts. Lion’s Tail Brewing (8520 W. North Ave.) is hosting a Pint-Wood Derby from noon to 4 p.m. Turn a wooden block into your very own speedster and race against others. Entry starts at $45 and includes a beverage.

Friday, July 11: Amorphic Beer (3700 N. Fratney Ave.) hosts another Crops on Top beer pairing dinner at 7 p.m. These dinners sell out quickly.

Thursday, July 17: The next big beer dinner at Tess is with Central Waters Brewing. Call 414-964-8377 to reserve a spot.

Saturday, July 26: Milwaukee Brewfest sets up shop on the lakefront for its 15th year. Tickets start at $75.
