9 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: July 31-Aug. 2

This week’s beer events are short on quantity but don’t lack for quality. One of the highlights is Wisconsin IPA Fest, celebrating its ninth year at Third Space Brewing on Saturday.

Thursday, July 31

Beers from New Barons Brewing Co-op will be on tap at the Whitefish Bay Community Beer Garden at the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center (6313 N. Santa Monica Blvd.) from 5 to 7 p.m.


It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!

 

Friday, Aug. 1

Chicago’s Revolution Brewing marks 15 years in business with the Barrel-Aged Bar Crawl. The tentative schedule starts at The Sugar Maple (441 E. Lincoln Ave.) at 5:30 p.m. and includes stops at Burnhearts (2599 S. Logan Ave.) and The Vanguard (2659 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.) before wrapping up at Busby’s (3475 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.). Each stop will be pouring a rare Revolution beer.

New Barons heads to the Fox Point Beer Garden at Longacre Pavilion (7343 N. Longacre Rd.) from 5 to 9 p.m.

Amorphic Beer is pouring at a pop-up beer garden at Sussex Village Park (W244N6200 Weaver Dr.) from 3 to 8 p.m.

Try samples from Oliphant Brewing at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 2 to 4 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 2

Wisconsin IPA Fest returns to Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) for its ninth year. Sample the best IPAs from more than 40 Wisconsin breweries and vote on your favorite. Tickets to this great event start at $50.

The Sprecher Root Beer Bash means plenty of the world’s best root beer and all sorts of fun for the kids, but it also means great adult beer too. The event takes place at the Bavarian Bierhaus Festival Grounds (700 W. Lexington Blvd.) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. At 3 p.m., the Bavarian Bierhaus is releasing its Zwickel Festbier, a collaboration with legendary German brewery Weihenstephan.

Amorphic heads to Field Park (993 N. Rochester St., Mukwonago) for a pop-up beer garden from 2 to 8 p.m.

Torzala Brewing is pouring at myBlue Day Out at the Village of Bayside (9075 N. Regent Rd.) from noon to 6 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 23: Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.) celebrates eight years of business with a party. Station No. 06 (6800 W. Becher St.) also celebrates an anniversary on Saturday. It’s appropriately their sixth.
