Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: Jan. 3-8

The new year starts with just a few craft beer related events. But plenty more are on the way in 2024.

Wednesday, Jan. 3

My Jerry Angel, a West Coast-inspired rye pale ale, is the weekly release at 1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St.).

It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!

Saturday, Jan. 6

If you’re planning on a dry January, get it started at N/A Day at The Cooperage (822 S. Water St.). Sample plenty of non-alcoholic beers, wines, spirits and more from noon to 4 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and $30 at the door.

Urban Harvest Brewing (1024 S. 5th St.) greets the new year with the release of its Weizenbock. The beer will start pouring at 1 p.m.

The weekly release at Hacienda Beer Co. (2018 E. North Ave.) is Forever and a Day IPA.

Sunday, Jan. 7

There’s a chili cook-off happening at New Barons Brewing Co-op (2018 S. 1st St.). Tasting and voting starts 30 minutes before the kickoff of the Packers/Bears game. Get in touch with New Barons if you want to bring a chili submission.

Monday, Jan. 8
