9 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: Aug. 5-9

It’s a relatively slow midsummer beer week. But beer gardens, beer tastings and outdoor fests still provide a few chances to imbibe.

Tuesday, Aug. 5

Think you’re strong enough to hold a stein for a while? Head to the Old German Beer Hall (1009 N. Old World Third St.) for a Masskrugstemmen (aka: stein holding) contest and see if you can qualify for the national tournament in New York. The feats of strength start at 7 p.m., and registration is at 6:30 p.m.
