1. Camp Bar in the Third Ward
ARCHER PARQUETTE, MANAGING EDITOR
I know this is a pretty basic pick, but I can’t pretend I don’t love the Third Ward’s Camp Bar when the weather turns cold and the vibes turn cozy. A big glass of cider at one of those Northwoodsy tables under the dim lights: it’s all I need. Well, purpose, fulfillment, meaning, a pair of pants that actually fit my lumpy frame – all that would be nice, too, but heck, I’ll take what I can get.
2. Camp Bar in Shorewood
KATIE WILLIAMS, ASSOCIATE PUBLISHER
Camp Bar Shorewood is way cozier. Moosehead over fireplace. That’s my answer.

It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!
3. Boswell Book Company
LIZ LINTONEN, EDITORIAL INTERN
By far, and without a doubt, my answer goes to Boswell Book Company. The local bookstore feel, the seasonal items for sale, the proximity to many great coffee shops, the friendly staff full of great recommendations. Boswell comes equipped with little window benches and wide, well-organized selection of every genre you could imagine. It always smells like coffee. I feel safe and if it were up to me, I would live there.

4. Fiddleheads on Oakland Ave.
SOPHIE YUFA, JUNIOR DESIGNER
An accommodating menu, outdoor fire pit and the friendly staff all help to make it feel like home.
5. Anodyne Coffee Walker’s Point Roastery
BRIANNA SCHUBERT, ASSOCIATE DIGITAL EDITOR
When I tell you I go here every other day, I’m not lying. Whether it’s to work remotely or to grab a coffee on my way somewhere, I literally love this place. Why? Its soft lighting, folky music and lovely baristas make the place so cozy, and it feels like a second home.

6. Supermoon Beer Co.
BRIANNA SCHUBERT, ASSOCIATE DIGITAL EDITOR
Can I pick two? Of course I can, I’m the one editing this. If I’m looking for somewhere cozy to go in the evening hours, after Anodyne is closed, I love Supermoon Beer Co. There’s something extra special about the small, intimate bar when it’s dark outside and you’re meeting good friends – the conversation flows and the drinks just taste a bit better.
