1. Landmark Lanes
BRIANNA SCHUBERT, ASSOCIATE DIGITAL EDITOR
It seems like everyone I know has gone bowling here, and I haven’t. I’m having serious FOMO about it, so I think 2024 is the year I’m going to give it a whirl. Having just finished up a pretty terrible bowling season score-wise (yes, I was in a for-fun league, and yes, it was awesome), I think I need some practice. I’m terrible at bowling. But it’s fun!
2. The Outsider
ARCHER PARQUETTE, MANAGING EDITOR
My biggest miss last summer was never once going to a rooftop bar. I enter 2024 having not once boozed it up on a Milwaukee roof, a shameful, shameful thing. From what I’ve heard The Outsider is the pinnacle of the local rooftop experience, and I’m all about pinnacles. As soon as the weather turns, I plan to be there – so if you spot a pale, hunched man sipping champagne alone, you probably shouldn’t say hello. I’m easily frightened and will almost certainly run away.

Tell us who you’d pick to be a Betty this year!
3. Odd Duck
SOPHIE YUFA, JUNIOR DESIGNER
This year, I’d very much like to dine at Odd Duck. I’ve been thinking about the place for the longest time, and just never got around to it in part due to my extremely busy, wildly popular lifestyle as a graphic designer … *ahem* sort of. Cheers to the new year, let’s make the most of it!
4. John Michael Kohler Arts Center (and Sheboygan)
CHRIS DROSNER, EXECUTIVE EDITOR
Always intrigued by a good deal, I was investigating Museum Days (Jan. 18-28), when I discovered that the John Michael Kohler Arts Center and Kohler Art Preserve in Sheboygan actually offer free admission all the time, not just during this promotion. So I moved my visit from this month to “sometime,” a later date that will be augmented by a stop at 3 Sheeps Brewing and one (or two?) of a bunch of awesome restaurants.
