Milwaukee Public Market Cooking and Baking Classes

JAN. 28, FEB. 4 AND FEB. 11 AT 5:30 P.M. | $10-15

On Jan. 28, the Public Market’s new instructor Lyncoya Ilion will be teaching how to make homemade pizza – including dough and pizza sauce from scratch. The Feb. 4 class is focused on Valentine’s Day cookies, sure to be a sweet treat during your busy week. The Feb. 11 class will take you (virtually) to New Orleans, where you’ll make a Muffuletta sandwich and King Cake, just in time for Mari Gras. You can register online or call 414-336-1111.

Splash Studio Virtual Painting Sessions

From Milwaukee landscapes to love-themed wooden signs, there are many options for live, virtual painting classes at Splash Studio. Once you register online for a class, you can pick up your ‘take and make’ partner painting kit to bring home from the studio. The kit includes two canvases, paint, brushes, a water cup, two aprons and access to the live virtual classes. If you enjoy beautiful landscapes, try the “Milwaukee from the Water” or the “Bird’s Eye View” classes. If inspirational quotes to hang in your home are more your style, try the wood sign painting sessions. If you like cute animals, try the “Trunks” or “Whale Love” classes.

The Kohl’s Art Studio has lots of fun and free videos for the whole family to check out on the Milwaukee Art Museum’s website. Get into the spirit of winter by creating a miniature ice sculpture or cozy up and make your own little stitched animal. These classes inspire artists young and old to keep creating and to find new hobbies.
