The chefs Dan of Dandan fame are hosting a pretty spectacular sounding affair – a dinner to benefit the James Beard Foundation. The dinner is happening Tuesday, April 25 at EsterEv, which resides inside of Dandan (360 E. Erie St.).
Dan Jacobs and Dan Van Rite, who are semi-finalists for the 2023 Beard Award for Best Midwest Chef, will be joined by quite a few prominent local Beard award-nominated or -winning chefs and restaurant owners. Among them: Adam Siegel of Lupi & Iris, Karen Bell of Bavette La Boucherie, Justin Aprahamian of Sanford, and Kyle Knall of Birch.
Nominations are open for the 2024 Unity Awards!
Know an individual or group committed to bridging divides in our community? Nominate them for a Unity Award by Oct. 31.
The menu is not available yet, but they’ve shared that the dinner consists of six courses of globally inspired cuisine, accompanied by “elevated” beverage pairings.
They’re also offering three seatings – 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Cost is $150 per person, with all proceeds benefitting the James Beard Foundation and its mission to celebrate, support and elevate individuals who are the drivers of America’s food and beverage scene.
