Next week’s Racine Wine Co. Dinner at c. 1880 has a few Wisco connections/inspirations. Oregon winemaker Chris Berg was born in Racine, which is also the hometown of c. 1880’s GM Joshua Wolter. Berg’s wines are made in small lots and use indigenous yeasts. The company is known for its Pinot Noir, several of which diners will drink at this April 2 dinner. Circa chef-owner Thomas Hauck has created six courses to accompany the wines. The cost per person is $140. Reserve a spot by calling 414-431-9271 or send email to reservations @c1880.com. April 2, 6.p.m. (1100 S. First St., Walker’s Point).
