“You never tire of the endless variations of robots…” Rene Rodriguez, Miami Herald
“…a pile of glittering junk.” Joe Morgenstern, Wall Street Journal
Though 90 percent is endless car robot clashes, loud explosions and chases, this over stimulating sequel to 2007’s Transformers leaves you feeling nothing because of its lame dialogue, 2 ½ hour- running time, and an indiscernible plot about Sam Witwicky (LaBeouf) teaming up with the Autobots to stop the evil Decepticons from destroying Earth. Sounds serious, but it’s laughable because of its immature ridiculousness (one Autobot dances to “I’m So Excited”; Sam’s parents quibble like a sitcom couple). It’s at its best when serious attention is given to the mythology and the core cast of humans and Autobots interact, but Revenge of the Fallen is strictly for hardcore fans.
