Tighty-whiteys Twitter and Weiner

So I thought advertising and negotiating food stamp deals on Facebook was the dumbest thing I’d ever heard. But then I remembered public figures and other famous folks who keep showing their goodies and putting their dirty deeds in print for the whole world wide web to see. US Rep Anthony Weiner finally came forward and admitted that the crotch shots were really him.

In addition to sending lewd pics of himself, he also exchanged dozens of messages with several women whom he claims he never met or had sex with. I actually believe him. I think he’s a freaky dude who foolishly thought sexting was harmless. Enough.

Sigh.

How many public figures and government officials have to get caught tweeting, sexting, texting, emailing, snail-mailing, facebooking, and cyber-freaking someone other than their oblivious spouse before the next one realizes that eventually they will get caught and it won’t be pretty? Why does everyone think they are the exception to the rule? And is anyone else sick of the cycle? You know the cycle: They deny to the death. Then they hold a tearful press conference. They swear the indiscretion was completely out of character. They apologize to their families, shower their spouses with praise like never before, and then vow to make things right in their public and private lives.

Blah blah blah.

I mean seriously. Whatever happened to acting like you have something to lose? I’m sorry, but even lil ole’ average me won’t send freaky pics to a boyfriend. Sorry dude. Too often love is temporary but memory cards and the internet lasts forever.

I love hanging with my best guy friend for a number of reasons. We talk trash, laugh loud, spend hours shamelessly talking about sex and eat without inhibitions. Plus, he always gives me the real about dating and men. He quickly hipped me to the fact that whenever guys-no matter the age, receive photos of boobies, booties or any shots of freaky behavior, they share them with anyone willing to take a look. It’s just a matter of time. If you’re just some chick he’s doing? Guess what? He’s showing them almost instantly. If you are his girlfriend, and you break up. Well, be prepared for all his friends to know about your birthmark.

My rules are as follows:

Steamy TEXT messages to my boyfriend? Sure. Let’s do it!

Sexy pics of bodyparts other than my smiling face to ANYONE including a significant other? Heck no! If you didn’t get a good glimpse when you saw me in the flesh, you’ll just have to wait until next time.

Freaky texts or pics emailed, tweeted or posted on Facebook for someone other than my man when I already got a man? Blank stare.

Wiki says that US Representatives are supposed to be the “voice of the common people in the US Government”. Do we really want him, the dude that flashes his crotch in tighty-whiteys to 20 something’s serving as the voice for common people? Hmm…it appears Weiner can’t even exercise common sense.

I guess the saying is true: common sense isn’t so common after all.
