Everyone’s favorite Manic Pixie Dream Girl, Zooey Deschanel, and singer-songwriter M. Ward will come to the Riverside Theater at the end of June for a long-awaited Brew City show. Andy Nelson, the PR director for the Pabst Foundation, says they’ve been trying to get the duo to Milwaukee for a show since their first album Volume One in 2008.
Volume Three was released May 7, and a month-long tour was announced in January in support of their fourth full-length album. (Christmas albums count, right?) The Milwaukee date is tucked nicely in between previously announced dates in Iowa and Chicago.
Deschanel and Ward first met on the set of 2007’s The Go-Getter, in which Deschanel starred and Ward supplied the music. The rest, as they say, is history.
