Everyone’s favorite Manic Pixie Dream Girl, Zooey Deschanel, and singer-songwriter M. Ward will come to the Riverside Theater at the end of June for a long-awaited Brew City show. Andy Nelson, the PR director for the Pabst Foundation, says they’ve been trying to get the duo to Milwaukee for a show since their first album Volume One in 2008. Volume Three was released May 7, and a month-long tour was announced in January in support of their fourth full-length album. (Christmas albums count, right?) Deschanel and Ward first met on the set of 2007’s The Go-Getter, in which Deschanel starred and Ward supplied the music. The rest, as they say, is history.
