OnMilwaukee Co-Founder Suggested Repeated Rape for Boston Bomber

Last Friday, Andy Tarnoff, co-founder of the entertainment website OnMilwaukee.com, suggested on Twitter that Dzokhar Tsarnaev should “drop the soap” in prison, as punishment for his participation in the Boston Marathon bombing. His tweet received responses both positive and negative, including one user, @MichaelJMathias, who said, “Everyone’s angry, but that’s awful. You’re making fun of a very serious issue. Do some research and grow up.” “He deserves much more than any prisoner will rape him for. He’s worthless. Don’t be soft, ” said @DufferHawkins, taking a more severe tack. So Tarnoff continued. “He deserves much more than any prisoner will rape him for. He’s worthless. Don’t be soft, ” said @DufferHawkins, taking a more severe tack.

So Tarnoff continued.

The Twitter tiff turned into more name calling, and at one point, Tarnoff tried to relate to his critics by saying he’s as liberal as they are and that politics aren’t “black and white. ” Then James Wigderson, a conservative blogger and columnist for the Waukesha Freeman, stepped into the fray.

And that wasn’t all …

To which Tarnoff replied:

This morning, Wigderson tells Milwaukee Magazine: “Just as the first amendment
allows an entertainment website editor to make a jackass of himself, the eighth
amendment prevents jackass suggestions for torturing criminals from becoming
public policy.” And Tarnoff tells us, “My position is that I hope he is sentenced
to death, and if not, whatever happens to him in prison will be a small
price to pay for murdering children and adults in cold blood.”
