- Frenemy: that’s what Ryan Braun might call his former friend who filled a civil suit against him in late July for defamation. The former friend, Ralph Sasson, is alleging a cornucopia of wrongdoings on Braun’s part, including defamatory comments Braun made after their relationship soured over a business deal. What business deal? Sasson alleges Braun was supposed to pay him for research he conducted during Braun’s first doping inquiry in 2011.
