One of the alleged terrorists died in a shootout with police, not long after the brothers shot and killed an MIT officer. Today’s manhunt has the entire city on lockdown as helicopters zoom overhead and police cars race through the streets, NBC says.

In news of a more parochial nature, a number of Milwaukee County Supervisors have floated an alternative plan to downsizing the County Board that would cut its budget in half, the Journal Sentinel reports. While this was going on, one city official, Ald. Jim Bohl, was busy calling officials at the Milwaukee Health Department “smug and arrogant liars.”
