Beginning July 30, Jordan Lee and Dori Zori, both longtime Milwaukee DJs, are taking over as co-hosts of “aMKE,” 88Nine RadioMilwaukee’s morning drive-time show.
The move came after former “aMKE” co-host, Brianne O’Brien, announced she will be leaving the station to pursue a master’s degree in international journalism in London. Brianne’s co-host, Kallao, will move to the weekday afternoon spot that Lee has been hosting.
“Listeners enjoy hearing two hosts on our morning show,” says station Executive Director Mary Louise Mussoline. “And because of their longstanding friendship and natural chemistry, [Lee] and [Zori] will create an engaging blend.”
Lee will be returning to the time slot he hosted after joining 88Nine in 2008, while Zori is coming from Milwaukee’s other leading non-commercial station, WMSE-FM (97.1) where she has hosted for more than 20 years.
“While I’m sad to leave WMSE, a station I truly love,” says Zori. “I’m excited to share a daily full-time air shift with my friend [Lee].” At 88Nine, Zori will also take on the role of assistant producer and produce weekly community stories.
The new “aMKE” with Lee and Zori will air weekdays from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., while Kallao’s afternoon program will air weekdays from 2 p.m. to 6p.m. 88Nine broadcasts can be heard in the Milwaukee area at 88.9FM, online at radiomilwaukee.org, or via iPhone and Android applications.
