There’s always time for breakfast. In fact, I know a good time: Tuesday, Sept. 9, which is D-Day for Engine Company No. 3 (217 W. National Ave.). That’s the breakfast-lunch place from La Merenda owner Peter Sandroni. The space – a one-time fire station – is just about ready for a hungry, relaxed audience. The kitchen is going to be busy, making jams and biscuits, curing bacon and salmon, grinding meat to make sausage. The space has seating in various capacities – at tables and booths, and at the bar. Hours: Tues-Fri 7 a.m.-2 p.m.; Sat-Sun 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Link to website here.
