Back in about 2005-06, Comet Café (1947 N. Farwell Ave.) had a secret menu. Anybody could order from it. You just had to know about it. One item on that menu was a burger called Chef’s Revenge. It was $10, and you could specify meat or veggie. But those were the only details. Comet’s new Secret Burger Club has that same spirit of off-the-cuff fun. The secret burger runs for one month. November’s burger is called Sweet Baby Bambi ($13). No, it is not a venison burger. It’s a 6-ounce, grass-fed beef patty stuffed with jalapenos and cream cheese, topped with bacon and house-made barbecue sauce. It’s served on an egg-wash bun and comes with a mound of French fries. No details yet on December’s burger. But you’ve still got a little time to enjoy the Bambi. (414-273-7677)
