Aaron Patin, who left his executive chef position at SURG Restaurant Group in mid-2012 to create the baking program for Stone Creek Kitchen (part of Stone Creek Coffee Roasters), is no longer in the coffee company’s employ. The kitchen is currently overseen, says Stone Creek founder Eric Resch, by kitchen manager Katie Knapp. Patin wouldn’t reveal his next career plans except to stay he has “something lined up” and plans to stay in Milwaukee “for now.” Incidentally, the 10th Stone Creek cafe — next to 88Nine Radio Milwaukee’s new Walker’s Point studios (158 S. Barclay St.) — is projected to open in September.
