How much for that pig foot? This Tuesday (July 23, 6-8 p.m.), a meat raffle is happening at the Third Ward’s Bavette La Boucherie (330 E. Menomonee St., 414-273-3375). It’s the brainchild of Slow Pig Wisconsin Southeast. They will be raffling off a whole pig, broken down piece by piece. Tickets – $20, or $15 for members of Slow Food – include entry to the event, plus appetizers provided by the butcher shop. Wine and other beverages will be for sale. Raffle ticket prices (you can buy them at the event) are $1-$5. Owner Karen Bell will describe each pig cut and provide suggestions on how to prepare it.
