Fermentorium Beer and Grilled Cheese Pairing

Love grilled cheese? Love beer? Love them together? Join other Wisconsinites at the Fermentorium Beer and Grilled Cheese Pairing on Thursday, March 21 starting at 6 p.m. at the Uber Tap Room (1048 North Old World 3rd St.). The event will feature four brews carefully paired with four grilled cheeses. Bonus: there will be cheese prizes. Fermentorium also celebrates its third anniversary with a party on Saturday, March 23.

Shamrock 5K Beer Run

Does St. Patrick’s Day really ever end? Maybe not in Milwaukee. The Shamrock 5K Beer Run takes place on Saturday, March 23 starting at 2 p.m. at Veterans Park (1010 N Lincoln Memorial Dr.). This run is a little different, as it features a 3 oz sample of local Black Husky beer every kilometer of the race. Once you complete the run, you will receive another free beer and entry to the Black Husky Brewing Beer Garden.

Step Afrika!

The first professional company dedicated to stepping and one of the top ten African American dance companies in the U.S. is coming to Milwaukee. Step Afrika! performs on Friday, March 22 at 8 p.m. at the Marcus Performing Arts Center (929 N Water St.). The dance company reaches thousands of Americans as part of their 50-city tour. Step Afrika! combines agility, technique and energy for a lively performance.

Secret Symphony at the Harley-Davidson Museum

If you need a little more classical culture this weekend, Harley-Davidson has you covered. The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra will play at the Harley-Davidson Museum (400 W Canal St.) on Sunday, March 24 from 1-4 p.m. Before their performance, there will be Bloody Mary bars, scavenger hunts and plenty of motorcycle action.

The Experience Hendrix 2019 Tour comes to Milwaukee on Thursday, March 21 at the Riverside Theater (116 W Wisconsin Ave.). The concert features legendary artists including Joe Satriani, Zakk Wylde, Slide Brothers and many more.

Whether you’re interested in major home renovations or a source of design inspiration, it never hurts to look, right? The 95th Annual Realtors Home and Garden Show starts Friday, March 22 and continues through March 31 at the Wisconsin Expo Center at State Fair Park (8200 W. Greenfield Ave.). There will be over 350 exhibitors featuring nearly anything you can think of, from landscaping to windows to kitchen design and plenty more.

The Nomad Turns 24

Nomad World Pub (1401 E Brady St.) is celebrating its 24th year with a weekend-long bash from Friday, March 22 through March 24. On Friday, they will have happy hour from 4-6 p.m., but the real fun starts on Saturday. At 2 p.m., Nomad will tap a special Lakefront Brewery Fixed Gear Firkin; then stay for their Saved by the Bell edition of 90’s night with music and drinks. Sunday night, Nomad is throwing another party with music from Sound Travels.

Vino Third Ward Stand-Up Comedy Showcase

Wine? Comedy? Do we need to say more? Vino Third Ward (219 East Erie St.) hosts another Stand-Up Comedy Showcase on Friday, March 22 starting at 9 p.m. There are seven acts from Milwaukee, Madison and Chicago such as Matt Werner, Alessandra Drapos, Adam McShane and more. Vino will have its worldwide selections of wine for you while you laugh the night away.

Golf

Public Golf Courses to Open

Is spring finally here? For golfers, it might be. Grant Park Golf Course, Greenfield Park Golf Course, Lincoln Park Golf Course, Oakwood Park Golf Course, and Whitnall Park Golf Course all open on Friday, March 22. Prices for 9 to 18 holes vary on the course.
