10 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: July 3-7

Events in craft beer land give way some to the Fourth of July and last weekend of Summerfest. But there are still a few notable beer-related ways to celebrate the holiday week.

Wednesday, July 3

The weekly release at 1840 Brewing Company is How Neat Is That?, a hazy pale ale. Try it on tap first, or pick some up to go starting on Friday.

Supermoon Beer Co. (3145 S. Howell Ave.) has a pair of releases available this week. Punchbowl Piquette is a French oak fermented sparkling piquette ale made with cherries, raspberries and wine grapes. More Than You’ll Know is a Midwest pub ale and a collab with Sway Brewing & Blending. Both are available for ordering online, and you can try them in the Supermoon tap room.

Head to the Lakefront area at 4 p.m. to try Riverwest Stein with vanilla bean on Thursday, Hazy Rabbit IPA infused with terpenes on Friday, and Lakefront IPA with pineapple and aged on gin-soaked oak on Saturday.

Black Husky Brewing (909 E. Locust St.) is hosting a good old fashioned holiday potluck at 2 p.m. Bring a dish and you get a free beer as a reward for your efforts.

Friday, July 5

Raised Grain Brewing’s pop-up beer garden heads to Fox River Park (W264 S4500 River Rd., Waukesha) for a weekend stint. Hours are 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday and 3 to 9 p.m. on Saturday. Food trucks will be there too.

Component Brewing (2018 S. 1st St.) is releasing Simcoe Overflow, a West Coast IPA, on tap and in cans. It’s available to the general public on Friday.

Saturday, July 6

Try samples from Revolution Brewing at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from noon to 2 p.m. and Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 3 to 6 p.m.

Hacienda Beer Co. (2018 E. North Ave.) is releasing Solar Sailer, a Norwegian wheat ale.

Sunday, July 7

Taste of Waukesha comes to The Tap Yard – Waukesha (1927 E. Sunset Dr.) from noon to 6 p.m. The food truck festival features nearly a dozen offerings from Waukesha county.

Unwind after the long holiday weekend with some Lego fun. Supermoon Beer Co. hosts Bricks and Beer from 4 to 7 p.m. They’ll have a bunch of Legos on hand and you can build whatever you want. At 6:30 p.m., they’ll raffle off a new Lego set. Very cool.
