The barrel-aging program at Revolution Brewing just might be the best in Chicago. Judge for yourself at the Deep Woods Preview Party at The Brass Tap (7808 W. Layton Ave.) at 5 p.m. They’ll be pouring Deth’s Tar Stout, Café Deth and Maple Deth.
Friday, Oct. 23
Party on Pitt (117 E. Pittsburgh Ave.) wraps up this weekend. Halloween is appropriately the theme. So wear a costume if you’re headed to the outdoor party. The fun, hosted by Broken Bat Brewing and MobCraft, runs from 3:30 to 9 p.m. on Friday, noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Heaven’s Table BBQ is providing the pig roast and Vennture Brew Co. (5519 W. North Ave.) provides the beer at the aptly-named Pocket Park Pig Roast and Beer at 5 p.m. Vennture adds to the fun by releasing two new beers – Cacao Tipping Rye Chocolate Porter and Not a Pizza NEIPA.
Hacienda Beer Co. (2018 E. North Ave.) is releasing Hollywood Kid Double IPA at noon. Pre-order before you pick up.

Saturday, Oct. 24
The Milwaukee County Historical Society hosts the History and Beer Bike Ride: Haunted Milwaukee at 11:30 a.m. It starts at the Historical Center (910 N. Old World Third St.) and then rides to Company Brewing (735 E. Center St.), Black Husky (909 E. Locust St.) and Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.).
It’s a good day to ride a bike to Gathering Place. At 2 p.m., the brewery is releasing The Limb Shaker Belgian Tripel made with Door County cherries and Shades of Blanc #2, a red rye ale aged in Sauvignon Blanc barrels. Pre-order before you get there.
At 7 p.m., MobCraft hosts a Zoom pairing of beer and chocolate. Order your beer and chocolate during the week and pick it up after 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Sunday, Oct. 25
1840 Brewing is releasing Creepfunk Haze at an event at Glacier Hills County Park (1664 Friess Lake Rd., Hubertus) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Packers will be on at noon and the band steez plays from 3 to 6 p.m.
