8 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: Dec. 29-Jan. 2

This week we mercifully bid farewell to 2020, and there are more than a few local beer options to choose from when doing so.

Tuesday, Dec. 29

It’s the last day to order a New Year’s Eve Party Pack from MobCraft. Choose from a four- or two-bottle pack. Both include all sorts of great snacks for whatever type of party you have planned. Pick up is at MobCraft (505 S. 5th St.) on Wednesday and Thursday.

Wednesday, Dec. 30

City Lights Brewing (2200 W. Mt. Vernon Ave.) is releasing cans of Café Marrón, an English brown ale made with coffee, starting at 11 a.m. It’s available on tap now.

Thursday, Dec. 31

Sahale Ale Works (1505 Wisconsin Ave., Grafton) is open from 4 to 8 p.m. They’re ringing in the new year at midnight Dublin time (6 p.m.) with a toast featuring free pours of Sahale’s anniversary beer, One (And Not Done) Golden Ale.

The latest Indigo Series beer from Good City Brewing is being released at both the East Side (2108 N. Farwell Ave.) and Downtown (333 W. Juneau Ave.) taprooms. One Size Fits All is a double dry hopped IPA made with Zappa hops.

Faklandia Brewing (3807 S. Packard Ave.) is hosting a small New Year’s Eve dinner that includes prime rib, mac and cheese, sweet potatoes and green beans. Tickets are just $40.

Hacienda Beer Co. (2018 E. North Ave.) has a special new variant of its Double Dry-Hopped Everything Eventually Pale Ale being released just in time for the new year. Pick up is from noon to 7 p.m. but you can preorder now.

Friday, Jan. 1

Start 2021 on a delicious note with 1840 Brewing’s release of Sloopy Hang On, a porter made with peanuts, cacao and vanilla. Reserve some from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday. Pick up is from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday and noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Saturday, Jan. 2

MobCraft is hosting a Warehouse Sale from 1 to 6 p.m. This means you can snag a ton of different MobCraft beers and get deals on merchandise. They’ll even be selling barrels and staves. Presale starts Friday (Jan. 1) at noon.
