7 Beer Events Brewing This Week in Milwaukeee: Sept. 1-5

Happy fourth anniversary to Third Space Brewing. A monthlong celebration kicks off this week, along with a few other great events.

Tuesday, Sept. 1

The Brass Tap (7808 W. Layton Ave.) never fails to deliver when it comes to tap events. At 6 p.m. they’ll be pouring Toppling Goliath gems like Double Dry-Hopped King Sue DIPA and the amazing Mornin’ Delight Imperial Stout.

Wednesday, Sept. 2

Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) is using the entire month to celebrate its fourth anniversary, and beer drinkers benefit. The festivities include the release of Baby Yo Fuzzy Little IPA and weekly events. On Wednesday, they’re tapping an Experimental IPA made with three different experimental hops. Co-owner Andy Gehl explains the flavor as being fruit forward but with clean hop bitterness. Third Space will also be pouring Haunted Maple Barrel-Aged Porter.

Thursday, Sept. 3

Third Space is hosting and Instagram Live at 5 p.m. Owners Kevin Wright and Andy Gehl will be discussing their fine beer, Upward Spiral and talking about Citra hops with a special guest.

Friday, Sept. 4

Party on Pitt, a pop-up beer garden at 117 E. Pittsburgh Avenue, starts its two-month run. Cheers to Broken Bat Brewing and MobCraft Beer for bringing several weekends of fun and frivolity. Reserve a picnic table or a plot of real estate and feel like a normal beer-drinking human for a few hours. The fun runs from 3:30 to 9 p.m. on Friday, noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday. Party on Pitt lasts until the weekend of October 23.

Hacienda Beer Co. (2018 E. North Ave.) releases This Is All We Know, a double dry-hopped DIPA. Presale is Wednesday at 5 p.m. Pick it up Friday starting at noon, and just in time for the weekend.

Bavarian Bierhaus (700 W. Lexington Blvd.) kicks off five weeks of Oktoberfest fun by tapping a free keg of Oktoberfest at 6 p.m. The festivities happen Thursday through Sunday every weekend until October.

Saturday, Sept. 5

The Bike & Brew Tour kicks off at Component Brewing (2018 S. 1st St.) at 11 a.m. Hop on your bike and venture to Sahale Ale Works, The Fermentorium, Big Head Brewing and MobCraft Beer. The theme is the 80s, so dress appropriately. Cost is $20. Check out the details.
