Order your Lakefront Cyber Sipping Tasting Kit and pick it up between 4 and 9 p.m. at the brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.). You’ll be set for the virtual tasting via zoom on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Wednesday, March 3
Operation SOS, the beer launched by 3 Sheeps Brewing to offer an exclusive beer release to restaurants and bars, is rolling out this week and should be available as early as Wednesday at some spots. The second beer in the “Save Our Spots” series is a dank, drippy double IPA brewed with Strata, Cashmere and Simcoe hops. The collaborators this time around were Milwaukee’s own 1840 Brewing and 608 Brewing of La Crosse. Participating retailers statewide can be tracked down on 3 Sheeps’ beer finder (search for Operation SOS #2 and know that the site only tracks accounts that received the beer, not their real-time inventory). Three Lions Pub in Shorewood posted on Facebook on Tuesday that they had cans and four-packs available. Consider grabbing some takeout with your SOS – and, as the label says, tip generously!

Barrier Brewing will be handing out samples at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 4 to 6 p.m.

It’s Wordsmith Day at Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna St.) and you have a few variants of the wheatwine ale to choose from. Preorder bottles of 2021 Wordsmith, 2021 Coffee Wordsmith, 2021 Old Fashioned Wordsmith and 2021 Barrel-Aged Wordsmith now and pick them up at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Hacienda Beer Co. (2018 E. North Ave.) releases Floating On a Cloud IPA at noon. Preorder starts on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
Check the out the new brewery to the south, 1 Of Us Brewing Company (8100 Washington Ave., Mt. Pleasant), during the Winter Wobbler beer fest. Plenty of craft beer from local breweries and food trucks make for a fine afternoon. Get your tickets ahead of time.
