Celebrate Pokémon Day with a Paint & Sip workshop at Faklandia Brewpub (3807 S. Packard Ave., St. Francis) at 6 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 26
The Bonsai & Brew Studio will make a stop at Broken Bat Brewing (135 E. Pittsburgh Ave.) for a workshop at 6:30 p.m. For $85 you get a bonsai tree and plenty of instruction on how to prune it.
Saturday, Feb. 28
The annual Zebra Hop IPA release party is coming to Component Brewing (2018 S. First St.) at 2 p.m. The event is a fundraiser for the National Organization for Rare Disorders, and was the creation of Component co-founder Jonathan Kowalske, whose son Mac was born with a rare genetic disorder called Malan Syndrome. The fantastic K&L’s BBQ is coming out of “winter hibernation” for the event. This year Ope Brewing, MobCraft Beer and Indeed Brewing have brewed their own versions of Zebra Hop as well.
Brewfinity Brewing’s Pewaukee taproom (203 W. Wisconsin Ave.) is the site of a daylong Winter Beach Party. From 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. there will be Caribbean food, tropical drinks and live music. A limbo contest starts at 5 p.m.
St. Practice Day happens at MobCraft Beer (505 S. Fifth St.) from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. They’ll be releasing Padishah Imperial Stout, pouring other big limited-release beers, and doing some beer poking outside.

Monday, March 9: Lakefront Brewery is holding a Spelling Bee Showdown at 6:30 p.m. to raise funds and supplies for Milwaukee Public Schools, with winners receiving gift cards. Players can bring new or gently used school supplies for MPS schools. Additionally, 10% of food and beverage sales all day will be donated to the MPS Foundation. Reservations are encouraged.
Saturday, March 14: The annual release party for Mystic Knot Barrel-Aged Stout is scheduled for mid-March at Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.). The festivities will include Irish dancing.
Thursday, March 26: Pilot Project Brewing (1128 N. Ninth St.) hosts the four-course Almost Spring Beer Dinner.
Saturday, April 18: The annual Joint Beer Fest is happening at Eagle Park Brewing (S64 W15640 Commerce Center Pkwy., Muskego). Keep an eye on the event page for details.
Saturday, May 30: The eighth year of Lager & Friends is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. The beer fest at Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna St.) highlights lagers from several standout breweries.
